Castle Panic

Castle Panic is a cooperative game for the whole family, in which the players must protect their fortress against invading hordes of trolls, orcs and other dangerous monsters.

In the centre of the game board stands the fortress, surrounded by a number of rings. The monsters keep appearing at the outer edge of the board and move one ring closer to the centre at the end of each turn. If they are not stopped before they reach the castle wall, they destroy it and continue their rampage inside the walls of the castle.

The players try to stop the monsters before they get that far, using the cards they hold in hand. Most cards show soldiers, knights or archers, which can hurt the monsters at different distances. Players may also be lucky enough to draw heroes, barbarians, or building materials and reinforcements that can be used for the castle walls.

Castle Panic can be played as a fully cooperative game in which everyone wins or loses together. It can also be played competitively, in which case everyone still loses together, but there is only one winner: the player who has killed the most monsters.
