In Cryptid the players are cryptozoologists hunting for the legendary creature, the Cryptid. But everyone wants to be the first to find it. To get useful information out of the others you will have to give up a little yourself. Preferably not too much, though – or one of the other players will simply run off with the victory.

Cryptid is a unique deduction game in which you are constantly trying to get a sense of what your opponents know without giving them too much information yourself. The game board is set up differently each time, and both the clues and the cards vary, so no two games will feel alike. It can be played at two difficulty levels, and there is a companion app that helps get the game started faster. The more players there are for Cryptid, the better.

As Cryptid relies heavily on the process of elimination, it is also suitable for use in maths teaching.
