Detective: Batman – Everybody Lies

Batman – Everybody Lies is a deductive mystery-solving game set in the Batman universe and Gotham City. The players take the roles of four lead investigators: the instinctive journalist Warren Spacey, the tenacious reporter Vicki Vale, the brutal detective Harvey Bullock and the cunning Catwoman. The four investigators become involved in a series of mysterious incidents in Gotham City.

The players cooperate throughout the game to run the investigation and solve a series of challenging cases. During the game they visit well-known places and cross paths with well-known characters (including Batman, the Penguin, Mr. Freeze and many more). Together the players follow leads, identify suspects and gather information so that they can help save Gotham City. A new mechanism adds hidden agendas to the game and gives the players secret goals and unique conditions, depending on whom they portray.

The game begins with an introductory prologue intended to familiarise the players with the rules of the game. After that come 3 large cases to be solved. Each case takes approx. 2-3 hours to play through. Each case can be played separately, but if the players solve all the cases in the game, they reach an epic climax.
