Magic Maze Pocket (English)

After being stripped of all their possessions, a mage, a warrior, an elf and a dwarf are forced to rob the local Magic Maze shopping centre for all the equipment they need for their next adventure. They agree to map out the whole maze first, then find each person’s favourite shop, and then find the exit. To evade the guards, who eyed their arrival with suspicion, all four will carry out their robberies at the same time and then dash for the exit. That is the plan, at any rate … but can they pull it off?

Magic Maze is a real-time cooperative game. Each player can control any hero in order to make that hero perform a very specific action that the other players do not have access to: move north, explore a new area, take an escalator… All of this calls for close cooperation between the players to move the heroes carefully. However, you may only communicate for short periods during the game; the rest of the time you must play without giving each other visual or audible signals. If all the heroes manage to leave the shopping centre within the limited time allotted to the game, after each stealing a very specific item, everyone wins together.

At the start of the game you have only three minutes to act. Sand timer spaces you come across along the way give you more time. If the sand timer ever runs out completely, all players lose the game: your antics have aroused suspicion, and the shopping centre’s security guards catch you.
