Applejack

A clever ’tile placement’ game by Uwe Rosenberg.

In front of Applejack’s cottage lies a large orchard. Help him and his daughter plant apple trees and harvest the juicy apples. Do not forget to set up the beehives between the trees, because at the end of the game the player with the most honey wins.

On their turn, players choose 1 tile from the harvest board in the middle of the table. This tile shows a combination of apple varieties and apple blossoms as well as beehives. The beehives show the cost of that tile in honey.

The tile is placed in the player’s orchard. The beehives must be placed next to other beehives on tiles already in play in order to earn the player honey tiles.

When the apple symbol on the harvest board meets an apple icon, that apple variety is harvested – and the player again receives honey tokens. But only if they have arranged the apples in a meaningful way.

After 19 turns each player’s orchard is full and the final scoring takes place. Apples, apple blossoms and collected honey are scored. The player with the highest score wins a game of Applejack.
