Tranglar

Tranglar is an abstract strategy game for 2 players with different multi-shaped, coloured pieces that the players place on the board. It is a straightforward but intelligent game, made to challenge both new and experienced players.

All the pieces in the game are made up of triangles. Each player tries to conquer the board using 17 coloured pieces, while there are also 8 neutral pieces that can potentially help both players and change the plot of each game.

The object of the game is to place as many pieces of your colour as possible on the board, and to take over and flip your opponent’s pieces, so that at the end of the game you have more of the board’s area in your colour.

To achieve this, you must place your pieces on the board in such a way that they are protected, and take over your opponent’s pieces by surrounding them, attacking them and turning them to your colour.

The player who occupies most of the board with their coloured pieces conquers the board and is declared the winner.

Tranglar is ideal if you want 100 % strategy with zero luck involved. It is also ideal for practising geometry through a fun and educational process.

If you like games such as Othello and Quarto, Tranglar is a game that offers something similar.
