Tranquility: The Ascent is a standalone sequel to Tranquility, in which players work together to complete a number grid while climbing the mountain.

The game starts at the foot of the mountain, and players must build a pyramid-shaped grid from the base to the summit. If the players complete the mountain and top it with a summit card, they win. If a player cannot take an action on their turn, everyone loses.

Tranquility: The Ascent includes three mini-expansion modules, which can be added separately or together:

The Green Path requires players to create a continuous path from the bottom to the top of the mountain.
The Panorama gives players specific number sequences to be photographed.
The Mountain Goats is about herding the mountain goats up to the summit, where the grass is greener.
