7 Wonders: Duel (Danish)

7 Wonders: Duel is a 2-player edition of the award-winning and critically acclaimed card game 7 Wonders.

As in the original edition, 7 Wonders: Duel runs through 3 ages, in which the players acquire cards that represent buildings in their civilisation and that can give bonuses, resources or strengthen the military and scientific development of their society.

Unlike in the original 7 Wonders, the cards are acquired in a slightly different way: the cards are laid out in the middle of the table in different patterns. Some cards are face up, while others lie face down. The players take turns taking one of the cards, and the more that are taken, the more become visible. In this way the game keeps developing in new and surprising ways.

When a player takes a card, he or she has 3 options, just as in the original 7 Wonders: the building can be built if the player has the required resources, the card can be discarded for money, or the card can be used to build one of the player’s 4 wonders. Yes, you heard that right. In 7 Wonders: Duel each player has 4 wonders that can be built. However, only 7 can be built in total during the game, so you have to be quick if you want to complete all of your own.

7 Wonders: Duel is won by having the most points at the end of 3 ages. Unlike in the regular 7 Wonders, however, it is also possible to win by gaining a military supremacy that can take the opponent’s capital, or by collecting 6 out of 7 science cards.
