Like all the other games in the “Settlers of Catan” series, this game is about building settlements, roads and cities and hiring knights. This time there is no board to place small figures on: each player has their own score sheet, called the building sheet, which depicts a mini Catan. You build by drawing the settlements and roads on your score sheet.

You still need resources to build. These are gathered through a Yatzy-like mechanism in which six special dice (showing the different resource symbols) are rolled up to three times. After each roll, the player chooses which dice to keep and which to roll again. Finally, the player can build with the resources obtained and is awarded victory points for all completed buildings, which are recorded on the score sheet.

The game lasts fifteen rounds, or approximately 15-30 minutes, after which the player with the most victory points wins.

Note that the game is designed for 1-4 players, which means there is also a solitaire version of the game.
