Catan: Handelsmnd & Barbarer (Danish)

Handelsmnd & Barbarer is the fourth expansion for Catan (also known as Settlers or Settlers of Catan).

The expansion collects a number of mini-expansions released over several years, along with two new scenarios for varying the base game. The scenarios radically change the victory conditions and strategies. In one of the new scenarios, for example, the island of Catan has to be rebuilt after a barbarian attack.

Also included are a number of smaller variants, which can be added one at a time to the base game or combined with other expansions:

• Event cards that replace the dice. The deck has a number distribution matching the probability of rolling a given number with two dice
• 2-player variant that makes Catan more fun with only 2 players
• Harbormaster card, which works like the longest trade route and the largest army of knights. Here, however, 2 points are awarded for having the most harbours

NOTE: The Danish edition of Catan has plastic pieces and smaller cards than the English one, so it only works with other Danish expansions.
