Citizens Of The Spark

The fate of the creatures touched by the spark of intelligence hangs by a thin thread. You must recruit strong animal allies to your city and unlock the potential of your citizens if your settlement is to survive the days to come.

Citizens of the Spark is a card game with a variable set-up in which players take turns attracting citizens, performing actions and claiming sparks. The more citizen cards of a given type a player has, the stronger that citizen’s action becomes. The player with the most sparks in their city when the deck runs out wins.

Play with 7-10 types of animal citizen per game, chosen from 30 available creatures and combined into one shared set of cards. Each citizen type has different powers, which makes the action combinations of each game uniquely variable.

On your turn, you recruit more citizens by choosing an available group of cards, placing them in your tableau and grouping them as citizens to increase their action strength. Then choose one type of citizen in your tableau to activate, take the effect of the card and discard it from your city. But keep an eye on rival cities, because when you activate a citizen, all players may follow your move and activate their own matching citizen.
