Grab your sword and shield. Adventure calls.

Descent is a fierce adventure game full of murky caverns and gruesome monsters.

In the roles of warriors, wizards and thieves, in true role-playing style, the players fight their way through caverns, caves, dark forests and gloomy fortresses. There they meet countless monsters that must be defeated in order to complete their mission, which changes with each scenario.

One of the players takes on the role of the Overlord, whose job is to make life miserable for the adventurers. The Overlord controls the monsters and tries to stop the other players on their quest.

Descent contains a large number of scenarios that can be played separately, but they work best when played through as a campaign in which the players’ characters gain new abilities and equipment and grow stronger as time goes on. The Overlord grows stronger too, however, which means more dangerous monsters and more vicious magic.
