Dixit: Disney (Danish)

Dixit, the game for creative and inventive players – now in a beautiful Disney edition.

At the heart of Dixit are the 84 unique cards with fine, imaginative illustrations.

Each player holds 6 cards and the players take turns being the ‘storyteller’. The storyteller chooses a card from their hand and says a sentence based on the illustration on it. There are no rules about what may be said; imagination is the only limit. Anything is allowed.
The other players then each choose a card from their own hand that fits what the storyteller said. The chosen cards are shuffled together with the storyteller’s card and laid face up in the middle of the table.

All players except the storyteller must now guess which card is the storyteller’s. Points are awarded as follows:

• if nobody OR everybody guesses the right card, the storyteller gets 0 points and all other players get 2 points.
• if that is not the case, the storyteller and all players who voted for the storyteller’s card get 3 points.
• All players get 1 point for each vote their own card receives.

It may sound more complicated than it really is, but the idea is simple: the storyteller must be neither too obvious nor too vague in describing the chosen card, and that is exactly where the game gets really interesting.

Dixit has won a great many awards and is easy to get into. The game is also well suited to a teaching unit on fairy tales in Danish lessons or a unit focusing on creativity.
