Hasami Shogi, often called “Scissors Chess”, is a variant of the Japanese game Shogi. The name comes from the way the players capture enemy pieces between two of their own pieces. The aim is to capture 5 or 8 of the other player’s pieces.

The game is published as part of The Ludos Collection, which aims to preserve classic games from different cultures.
