Indonesia is a game in which two to five players build up an economy in an attempt to make as much money as possible. Players acquire production companies that produce goods (rice, spices, microwave meals, rubber and oil) and shipping companies that deliver goods to cities. As the cities receive goods, they grow, which increases their demand. The production companies earn money for each good delivered to a city, up to the city’s capacity, but they must pay the shipping companies for the distance travelled, even if they end up losing money. Players can research advantages such as greater shipping capacity or the ability to merge companies, and possibly steal ownership of lucrative plantations or shipping routes by buying other players out.
