Wooden puzzle box from Karakuri Creation Group’s Letter Box series, shaped like an elongated case for pens and letters.

Karakuri boxes build on the traditional puzzle boxes of Hakone-Odawara in Japan. Each box has a mechanism of its own, devised by Karakuri Creation Group’s own designers: some open with a single move, others take a long sequence of pushes, turns and shakes. Every box is cut and assembled by hand.
