Can you find the mechanism that opens the box?

Karakuri boxes are based on the traditional “secret boxes” of the Hakone Odawara region in Japan. Each box opens by a unique mechanism, invented from scratch by Karakuri’s designers. Some are simple, others take several steps of pushing, shaking and turning. Every box is carefully cut and assembled by hand.

The box has a cavity just right for hiding a small gift.
