In Kinoko each player secretly draws a coloured card matching a group of mushrooms – musicians, scientists etc. – and draws a hand of three mushroom cards.

On your turn you roll three dice and choose one of them. The die determines your action: swap cards, take a secret card etc. To win the round you must gather three members of your colour of mushrooms in one location.

Sounds simple? The twist is that you can only see the cards in the other players’ hands, and your options are limited to what the die shows. In addition, one group of mushrooms becomes poisonous in each round, and ending the turn with these in your hand gives minus points.

The winner of the round scores plus points, and the first to 4 points wins.
