Rory’s Story Cubes does not look like much: 9 dice with 54 unique icons in a small box. But do not be fooled. Rory’s Story Cubes is a hugely popular game about telling stories to each other.

This version has travel and adventure icons. It can be used on its own or mixed with other Rory’s Story Cubes.

The dice can be used in several different ways, but in the basic game all nine dice are rolled and a story is made up that includes all of them. There are over 10 million combinations, so there are plenty of stories to get started on.

The game does include several variants, though, in which the players for instance cooperate on a continuous story, or tell a story based on a specific theme.

Rory’s Story Cubes can also be used for writer’s block or simply to strengthen the imagination.

Rory’s Story Cubes is a brilliant game that can be used in all kinds of situations and works equally well with children and adults. It is an excellent tool for kick-starting imagination and creativity.
