Ocean Crisis

Ocean Crisis illustrates a real environmental disaster in which millions of tonnes of solid plastic waste are dumped in the sea every year, with the result that life in the sea is dwindling faster than ever. You are the protectors of the ocean, and it is your task to stop the formation of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a.k.a. the Ocean Waste Island.

On every turn, more waste ends up in rivers, on the beaches and in the sea. The players work together both to clean up the sea and to carry out preventive environmental activism, such as setting up a recycling system and building machines that can clean the sea by themselves.

After each turn all the rubbish moves further towards the garbage island, and if too much ends up there, you lose the game. If you clean up enough within six turns, you win, and the sea will be clean for now.

Ocean Crisis contains six side missions and scenarios to challenge the players further. Among other things, you have to rescue dolphins, help sea turtles find places to lay their eggs in peace, and look after sharks.
