Paco ako is a form of chess created as an expression of peace, friendship and cooperation. The aim is to find, through strategic play, a way to “embrace” the opponent’s king.

Paco ako is played on the same board and with the same pieces as traditional chess, with the difference that the black and white pieces can unite and stay on the same square. No pieces are captured, so they all remain on the board throughout the game. Once a union has been formed, the pieces can still be moved by both players; you can take over a pair and release your piece by replacing it with another this is how chain reactions arise, which are the innovation in Paco ako. By releasing pieces and forming new unions you can end up moving several pieces in the same turn.

The box contains pieces and a paper practice board.
