Welcome to the Iberian Peninsula. In Pandemic Iberia the players take on the historically accurate roles of nurse, railway worker, doctor, sailor and many more in their fight to cure malaria, typhus, yellow fever and cholera.

The players travel by horse-drawn carriage, ship or train to help the population. They can also distribute clean drinking water and extend the railway network to reduce or delay the spread of diseases. Unlike in the classic Pandemic, each disease has different properties that match the real diseases they are based on.

The game also contains another new element, patient flow, illustrated by patients, in the form of tokens, gradually streaming to the different hospitals.
