Poetry for Neanderthals is a competitive word-guessing game in which clues may only be given by speaking in single syllables. So instead of saying “broccoli”, you would say something like “green thing you eat for live long and have good health.” If you slip up and use a big word, such as “vegetable”, you get a NO hit on the head and lose points.

The aim of the game is to score the most points by interpreting words and phrases correctly. The chosen poet starts the game with a poetry card and tries to get their teammates to say the word shown, using only words of one syllable within a time limit of 90 seconds.

This version is a travel edition and does not include a plastic NO club
