Once in an entire century a mysterious wind blows and lifts the veil between our own world and that of the spirits. Drawn by an ancient forest, whimsical seraphs descend through the clouds to resume their traditional game. You are one of these seraphs: a being of great power and curiosity. Life in the forest fascinates you, and you eagerly collect plants, animals and fairies for your menagerie. But remember that you are not alone. Other seraphs compete with you to collect the most beautiful things in the life of the forest.

In Spirits of the Forest the players represent the four elements of nature. The aim is to obtain the most spirit symbols, all of which are tied to particular elements. On your turn you draw two spirit tiles from the forest, which you can use to collect various things, to move or to collect diamonds. You score points for each kind of spirit provided you are the one who has the most. The player with the most points wins.
