Thingstead

The year is 1130. An assembly will soon be called to choose a new chieftain for your Viking village. There is only one opponent who can threaten your election. Over the next few days you must balance your time between the clans and the Thingstead (where the elders are gathered) to make sure the votes go to you rather than your rival. At the end of the game, the elders of the Thingstead hold a vote and name a winner. The struggle for power has begun. Who will the seven elders choose as the next chieftain? Manage your hand of cards, play them wisely and win your place as leader of the tribe without striking a single axe blow.

Players take turns performing one action at a time. The game continues until one of the following conditions is met: one player has locked 3 Elders, or the draw pile is empty and both players have run out of cards.

To work out the final score, players add up the points they have earned by influencing Elders for each clan they control. The player with the most points wins. In the event of a tie, the player with the most Followers among the Elder cards wins.
